SERVICE TO COUNTRY:
Please continue to bring your cancelled stamps to church, from your mail for the veterans in the hospitals.
We are printing names/addresses, as is received, of ones serving in the Iraq conflict and to send cards, to let them know we appreciate their loyalty and services to the USA.
There is a need for clothes for our wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan: T-shirts, shorts, sweats, (top or bottom) and flip-flops. (New or gently used, all sizes.)
Watch the bulletin as this ministry grows, with the holidays approaching, gifts of candies, homemade cookies, phone cards, etc., are always appreciated by our service men and women. See Janet Jacobs for more information.

Any church member may make a written recommendation for the office of deacon before January 2009. See Tom Schupbach, Deacon Chairman with your written recommendation. |

Mission Projects: Campbell soup labels-remove the entire label from the can/jar, bring to church, WOM leader will cut the sections needed for mailing, and empty soda cans and tabs for Disaster Relief. |

Please continue to bring in empty soda cans and tabs for recycling. These items are used to help families to restore their lives following a disaster. |

This past Tuesday, Jim Chambers and Pastor Garey, drove to Hanover, PA with Bob Childs, Chester Sienkiewicz and Ernie Rubright to pick up 78 cases of vegetables, and made a delivery to the Baltimore Rescue Mission. "THANK YOU", LBC, for your financial support to help feed the men and women at the mission--and to our men who volunteered to drive and make the delivery. PTL! |
